Description

Leave the city behind and spend the day exploring Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, where rugged sandstone, peaceful waterways, and hidden bushland tracks create the perfect escape just north of Sydney. We’ll collect you from the CBD and head north in a private car, keeping the group small so we can move at a relaxed pace. Over the course of around 8 hours, we’ll follow scenic trails through native bush, pause at lookouts with sweeping views of Pittwater and the Hawkesbury, and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. You’ll also have the chance to see Aboriginal rock carvings — reminders of the park’s deep cultural significance and thousands of years of connection between people and Country. These are the kinds of places big buses can’t reach — quiet, remote, and perfect for connecting with nature. Midway, we’ll stop for a catered picnic, set either in a shaded bush clearing or on a quiet beach, depending on the group and the day. The spread includes local cheeses, dips, olives, falafel, dolmades, fresh fruit, and kombucha — wholesome, fresh, and shared outdoors where food tastes best. Before returning to Sydney, we’ll visit Mooney Mooney Oyster Shed, a local favourite on the Hawkesbury River. Here you can taste freshly shucked Sydney Rock Oysters or try other local seafood if oysters aren’t your thing. Tastings are optional and not included in the tour price — simply a chance to enjoy authentic coastal flavours by the water. The walk winds down at a secluded waterfront, where there’s time to breathe, rest, and soak up the stillness of the park before heading back to the city. A full day of nature, local food, and connection.
