Meriton Suites Sussex Street, Sydney

Always a home away from home in Sydney! I’ve stayed at Meriton Suites Sussex Street multiple times, and it never disappoints. The staff and service are top-notch every single time. The rooms are genuinely stunning no exaggerated photos, what you see is actually what you get. Even when staying on a lower floor, the layout feels so cozy and comfortable, just like being at home. I also really appreciate the security details, like having a proper door peephole, which makes you feel extra safe during your stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sydney!
Fantastic location on Darling Harbour! Walkable to everywhere! Spent one night but totally book again. Room was fantastic, clean and affordable. Parking on site. It's a car elevator, so if you don't like them, just a heads up. You can leave your car until 1pm day of check out incase you have an appt in the area and don't want to hunt for parking.
I stay here a few times a year. Everything is fairly new, clean and well looked after. The facilities are great including the gym, pool, sauna, and spa. Location works well for me personally. I have stayed in both the Studio (good but can vary slightly in size with some having lots of big windows vs just one single big one) and the higher level Bedroom suites. The 3 bedroom suite has been my favourite so far with awesome views and a massive master bedroom. I find this spot has a good balance of amenities, luxury, location, and cost.
Extremely happy with our sty here last week whilst interstate. We stayed 4 nights in total in a 2 bed with balcony room. The location is fantastic and walkable to everywhere. We didn't have to take a train or bus - just our feet! We parked the car up in the hotel for $60 a day which kept it safe and secure. The carpark has a parking lift which was an adventure in itself. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wanted an air dryer for my washing and had it delivered within a couple of minutes to my room. Everything worked fine and instructions were clear and helpful. Would highly recommend for a family stay.
Overall, our stay was fine. The staff were lovely and the hotel itself is modern and stylish on a surface level. However the cleanliness of the room was definitely not up to standard. From the moment I walked in, I noticed marks on the mirrors, kitchen cupboards, floors, and other surfaces. It wasn’t unbearable but aside from the clean bedsheets, towels, and empty bins, the room did not feel properly cleaned. The showers in both bathrooms were covered in mould which made me feel uncomfortable while showering. If I had been staying longer than one night, I honestly would have purchased bleach and cleaned it myself. I’m not particularly high maintenance, but after spending almost $700 on a two bedroom apartment, I expected a much cleaner space. Overall, the lack of cleanliness was extremely disappointing. There is also no room service which is my fault for not doing a thorough research however for a massive high end chain hotel it was just expected. So it was an inconvenience having to purchase Uber eats every time I wanted to eat or drink.
