I loved loved loved the staff at this hotel, they are all super kind and friendly and helpful! I was a bit annoying asking for so many things like receive packages for me or print things for me and they were so chill about it, thanks!! The hotel is also nice for the reasonable price, cleaning service was also nice! Thank you!!
Good hotel. Compact in size but they've managed to fit in everything necessary neatly. Bar and pokies downstairs. One of the staff members initially refused to send toiletries to the room which was odd. Mostly, the service experience was good over a week-long stay. The street on the backside is quite smelly but the hotel is located in a prime location.
Great location,directly across the road is the haymarket light rail stop & within a 10 minute walk you will find numerous shops,cafes,restaurants, central train station,paddys markets,chinatown,capitol theatre, etc. The small room was clean & had everything you needed for a short stay however the bed was very hard & in my opinion the room was overpriced. The beer was cold & the $25 steak & schooner was great,other menu items looked good & reasonably priced. The $18 full breakfast was also very good. Service from all staff was friendly & helpful. Dont think we would book again due to the very hard bed & price.
My friend and I went to a concert at the Enmore Theatre. Was a short uber ride you could take public transpot as trams and buses are handy as Central Station is a hop skip and a jump away. We had a room with two single beds. Neat,clean, comfortable and suited our needs completely and convenient location. The staff are friendly although perhaps some may need to know details like where ubers usually pick up as we missed our first uber due to being given the wrong details and I was charged a cancel fee. We made it in the end. Breakfast was available for $18.00 full or $10 for continental. Loved the hard working staff there too. A very good way to start your day. Parking is limited and would only suit small cars as very hard to manouever around. Thankfully we were able to change our allocated spot as I would never have been able to park in the first one. I would definately stay here again.
This hotel offers excellent value and is exceptionally convenient to Central Station. The rooms are compact but very clean, and the beds are comfortable. I stayed for one night after a late engagement and found the Great Southern to be an ideal choice. Despite its central location, my room was very quiet. The blackout curtains worked brilliantly, and having tea and coffee provided was a nice touch. Breakfast is offered at a very reasonable price. The continental selection would benefit from including options like muesli, oats, fresh fruit, or fruit juices, but the full breakfast was generous and well priced. Overall, a reliable and well‑located hotel that delivers great value.
