Came and tried the $16 pizza deal, which was good value. The pizzas themselves were nice, pretty standard but enjoyable. Unfortunately, the drinks were a letdown. The espresso martini was really unpleasant and I couldn’t finish it. The coffee tasted very bitter or like it had come from a pre-brewed bottle, and wasn’t well blended. Service at the bar was okay, though one staff member came across as a bit rude.
Just had dinner here last night (July 1) and for $114 I was less than impressed! It’s my local as I live near-by and their kitchen has really gone south! Ordered wagyu Beef skewers (YUMMY!) and Scallops (were crap!) for starters. The scallops were the size of a large pencil eraser and the same consistency! For $10.50/each it was a real let down. They were either frozen and cooked before thawing then left at the pass for too long, or were seriously overcooked and left on the pass for too long. Awful stuff! The roasted Brussel sprouts were deilish! That sauce they were in was magical! Yum! I had schnitty which is a standard here. Large portion and decent. My partner had some fancy fish tacos that were small, ordinary, and wet? How is a deep fried fish piece wet? Anyway, we have had good meals here, so it was disappointing overall.
We’ve been here a few times. Tuesday is the best day if you do want to try out their menu (most of which is discounted to $16/$19). > Burgers were good. We havent had a bad burger. > Prawn Linguine was good. > Barramundi was good. Definitely crispy skin. > Chicken Parmi was normal. Good crispy. Nothing spectacular/terrible. It was solid. Cheese could have been a but more brown on top but that is a personal preference. > Lasagne was bad. They added too much sugar to counteract the acidity of a quick red sauce.
Good atmosphere Tue tight ass $16 meals, generous, just wished I had more than 3 beans. On Sat and Sunday the pizzas are discounted Really loved the mushroom one, the chilli garlic prawns was a bit light on prawns Thu is $5/taco👌🏼 Very disappointed with eggplant parmigiana tonight😣 The new chicken salad with Asian flavour a was absolutely delicious! Tonight’s crispy barramundi was just DELICIOUS
I used to adore the fish tacos here but yesterday's were so insipid, bare and sad that I almost wept. The only redeeming aspect of my experience was the friendly service but honestly, I'd rather be treated poorly by waitstaff than to be served this slop as food!
