Celebrated my mom's birthday here. The manager (forgot to ask his name but he has white hair and can speak mandarin) was welcoming and my mom was very happy. Thank you!! The view is great
Underwhelming! All the ingredients were there .. amazing views, classy fit-out, a chef with a great reputation. Unfortunately the food was uninspiring and execution was bang average. The Rye and caraway sourdough was a solid start, not amazing but decent enough. We then had the terrine of sunchoke, the ingredients sounded interesting, the execution though just just didn’t work, it was like a deconstructed terrine, with it just tasting like a pile of ingredients which just didn’t go. Did not enjoy this. The beef short rib for main course was cooked well, nice and tender but the dish needed some potatoe and was absolutely crying out for some colour or vegetable garnish . If you look at the photo, it almost looks like a soup. My wife’s fish special was the alforncino It was ok, nothing special, not singing of freshness, and just felt like there was no love putting the dish together. The fish was also $82, which if you are charging that price, should compete with 3 hat restaurants, which it fell far short of. Finally onto dessert, I had the rhubarb trifle ( which was a special) and my wife had the chocolate tart. Goodness the trifle was absolutely terrible, it was again, deconstructed, with some sponge ‘croutons’ and a pool of jelly on top. There wasn’t even a significant amount of custard or cream. The worst trifle I’ve ever had, truly awful! My wife’s chocolate tart was okay, quite tasty but you could find this dessert on so many other restaurants and cafes in Sydney. On a positive, the wait staff were friendly and professional and reasonably polished . In summary, I expected a lot more from the food, views were awesome but the food let it down. PS please take that awful trifle off the menu.
This was my second time dining with Infinity at Sydney Tower, and it’s safe to say that they consistently offer a sophisticated and elegant experience. I would like to thank my waitress Polly for her warm service, excellent recommendations and thorough knowledge of the menu. I’d also like to thank the bartender Carlos for his customer service and fabulous mixology skills. The Terrine of sunchoke for my entree had a beautiful mix of textures and flavours with the buttermilk sauce being the ribbon to tie the dish together. I have to thank Polly once again for recommending the Dry-Aged duck for my main, as this was my favourite dish of the night! It was cooked to perfection and paired with the plum sauce was a dream. The apple ice cream and sorbet for dessert I’ll admit was a bit too acidic for my taste, however the consistency was quite lovely. I would definitely recommend Infinity at Sydney Tower for anyone wanting a fancy dinner by themselves, with a partner or a group of friends, you’ll find the atmosphere relaxing and inviting.
We have been twice for our anniversary and it has been the best experience. The view is spectacular, the service is incredible the staff made our day so special and the food is unforgettable. My absolute favourite restaurant.
Worth every penny. That’s all I need to know. However the dining experience here was absolutely phenomenal. My lady friend and I stopped in for lunch. We were treated to one of the most cater for meals I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. If you have a look I travel the world eating at 1001 different places a year but to be in the heart of Sydney to enjoy the spectacular 360° views in a restaurant that rotates is worth the view itself. The service we received, the last time I’ve had anyone pay so much attention to me cater to every whim was when I stayed at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and make sure we got value for money. My partner and I wanted to try some caviar when our way to Mattia ( sorry brother I probably got the spelling wrong) mention to us that literally for an extra few dollars we could get twice the amount and both enjoy a delectable experience. This was not an up sale. This is simply value for money. Whoever the chef was behind the scenes, I wish I’d got to thank you personally the food it was delectable. I’m looking forward to coming back for dinner as I’d love to see the city of Sydney of a nighttime this was a seven star experience thank you so much
