I am writing a very bias review, only because I went to Taste of Tuscany for the very first time with a local regular that has been a customer for almost 40 years. Yes, Taste of Tuscany is an institution for this area. Their food is a great testament to this feat. Every single dish that came to our table, and that I was able to try, were phenomenal. I enjoyed the gnocchi, and please be warned, the serving portions are generous. Their pizzas were also good. The service, writing from my very bias view, is very good, they treated our table like their family, they looked after us very well. Even if you're not a local, if you're looking for really, really great Italian food: this place is it. That's all.
We love Italian food, always keen to explore nice Italian restaurants. TOT definitely one of the best in town, it’s worthy for us to drive a long way here. They serve very nice decent authentic Italian food plus other cuisine. We enjoyed it and feel such a pleasure to have a dinner here. The atmosphere is great, the owner is so nice and creat such a great experience for everyone here. 10 out of 10!!! Will come back regularly.
Another one of Carlo’s culinary secrets. Carlingford actually has some exceptionally good restaurants hidden in plain sight and Taste of Tuscany is definitely is one of them. We were delighted to find this authentic Italian restaurant just near the village. They serve an excellent variety of pretty much all classic Italian dishes including great seafood and some really delicious entrees. The decor and presentation is smart upmarket and on point which makes it easy to relax and enjoy. Service is just great and we were given some great suggestions from the menu and good vibes. Great value too btw. It’s so nice to find a place that hits all the right spots like this. We loved it
We had a perfect dinner at this lovely Italian restaurant in Carlingford. The pasta and pizza were truly authentic, and the mains were generous with great combinations. It’s very family-friendly with plenty of space, making it a great spot for families. Highly recommend!
I live locally and never thought to visit this restaurant for like 3 years. When I finally did, I felt an immense amount of regret. Everything we have orders exceeded my expectations. The first time I came I was apprehensive, ordered random items not common at other Italian restaurants because usually the staples are not that great. Everything was divine. Second time coming here I decided to test out their staples.. Bolognese, lasagna and a chicken creamy pasta. My gosh I was blown away. Many Italian restaurants i have been to that had a fancy menu, served up some very bland Bolognese and lasagna, so I stopped ordering it when I found new Italian restaurants. I thought maybe that was just how it was supposed to made? The sauces tasted like just some 10 minute passata sauce job. Not at TOT, they cooked it like how I make it at home but way better.. ( so far the comparison between me and my partner is how I make it home because I cook that sauce for hours). So much umami and deep flavours. I am so in love and will be returning forever This restaurant is not presumptuous, waitresses are well in tune with what customers want or need. The chefs have a extensive list of their history in the food industry which obviously shows in their food. I love you and I would love to intern here for free if possible 😂
