The most amazing float in the dark I managed to relax for the hour and drifted away. My body was completely relaxed and the magnesium settle my adrenals The products on offer you could test and try them on your body and face. The relaxing tea room was zen. I will be back for more
From the moment you open the door, you feel serene. It's such an inviting, calm and relaxing space. The sauna room was lovely, odour free and with a grear shower head. My massage with Flor was sooooo good, I didn't want the hour to end! Then you get to chill in the lounge area with a cup of herbal tea, I just loved it! I will be back 🪷🪷🪷
Monavale City Cave owner Rick provides exceptional customer service. Warm friendly and always accommodating us. We love the experience and also the benefits - deep sleep and supple muscles - we always feel fantastic after the sauna. A great place to come on those chilly days and to help the muscles recover !
Can not recommend this enough! I had a lovely experience in their infrared sauna. Rick was so lovely and explained the process seamlessly. The facilities was extremely clean with a relaxation area with herbal tea for before and after the session. Infrared is a lower temperature than normal sauna and encouraged to stay in the whole time but you had access to your own personal shower if you need a quick reset. I've used saunas most of my life and I got the same benefits post session. I felt relaxed, my skin looked glowing and I slept so well. I can't wait to come back and will recommend this to our patients.
booked a massage and sauna package as a treat for myself and unfortunately I left feeling more tense and disappointed than when I arrived. The sauna facilities themselves were fine, as they are self-service. I also made sure to follow the timing instructions properly so I would be ready for my massage appointment on time. After finishing in the sauna, I waited in the reception area in only a robe because my masseuse, K, was running late. After I had already been waiting for a considerable time, the receptionist told me she was delayed and he commented, “you look like you don’t need to go anywhere, so you’ll be fine.” I found that assumption quite inappropriate, as I did in fact have other commitments afterwards. Once I was finally taken through, the massage room was cold, there was no music, and the overall ambience felt quite lacklustre. I had booked and specifically requested a deep tissue massage, however the treatment was anything but deep tissue. The pressure was very light, with lots of tapping and rubbing over towels, and there was very little focused work on any particular area. At one point while I was turned over, the therapist placed her hands far underneath my shoulder blades and I could feel her nails against my skin, which was uncomfortable. The scalp massage also felt rushed and ineffective. At the end of the treatment, I was told to wipe myself down with a towel that had been prepared. In all my years of getting massages, I have never been expected to do this myself. I’ve visited other Cave locations before and left feeling relaxed and cared for, but this experience was the complete opposite. Honestly, I would have received better care and technique at my local shopping centre massage place. Very disappointing, especially given the cost. I won’t be returning.
