The Challis Hotel is a gorgeous and quaint place to stay. Great location with easy walk to Kings Cross Station or bus stop. The room was clean and cosy for just me. I think it will be my choice every time I visit Sydney.
A pleasure to stay here. It's like being a guest in a grand home in a comfortable room with private ensuite. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I had two small requests which were attended to without fuss and in a polite and courteous manner. A perfect location in Potts Point is very convenient and my room was very quiet considering the number of small cafes and restaurants close by; road noise and foot traffic was not a problem. There is a quiet and comfortable lobby and sunny verandah which is beautifully kept neat and tidy each time I entered offering you thoughtful small touches of refreshments. Highly recommended.
Lovely boutique style hotel in a great location of Sydney with local pubs and restaurants nearby. Perfect proximity to get to the opera as well. We had a twin room that was quite spacious and clean on arrival which was early but still able to access before 2pm.The only negative was the air conditioners were being serviced on one of the days we were staying between 9 and 3 which was fine as we were out all day, but they turned up after 3pm when we had returned to our room.
I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Challis. The price was extremely reasonable. The building was beautiful, the staff were polite and friendly and the rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The compact double room was a good size for 1 adult. The location is great, easy walking distance to Elizabeth Bay, Wooloomooloo, Kings Cross and The Botanic Gardens. You can store you luggage there before you check in and after you check out. There is a nice lobby you can relax in with complimentary pod coffee, tea and snack packets. I didn’t hear any noise after 9.30pm and had a great nights sleep. I would definitely recommend a short stay here and il certainly book again.
Due to the geopolitical situation in the UAE, we were unfortunately unable to begin our trip. The hotel kindly cancelled our stay free of charge as a gesture of goodwill. We are very relieved and grateful for this opportunity and the excellent service. We will definitely book our next trip there again.
