Surge Bath House

Lovely experience overall, although they could perhaps keep an eye on the salt scrub before it becomes a decorative empty container, and check the sauna water levels! It does feel a little time-pressured as your changing time comes out of your booking, so be prepared to undress and redress at Olympic speed. 😂 Other than that, I had a great time!
I had such a great experience at Surge Bath House! The atmosphere was super relaxing, the facilities were amazing, and everything felt really well looked after. It’s such a nice place to unwind, recharge, and take some time for yourself. I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend it!
Cosy and relaxing. My friend and I visited Surge Bath House for the first time last weekend and it was a wonderful experience. The premises (2x infrared saunas, 1 Swedish sauna, 1 warm pool, 1 cold pool and showers) are beautifully designed and peaceful. Plus the showers and change rooms are stocked with nice skincare and shower products including hair dryers and straightening irons. Loved it! Will definitely come again. Just one thing to be mindful of: one section of the floor, on the way back to the change rooms can be quite slippery.
Absolutely loved Surge Bath House. It feels like such a good addition to Dee Why and the Northern Beaches. The whole place is really well done clean & really calm. I loved the traditional sauna, infrared sauna and the rain shower, but the 38-degree mineral pool was easily my favourite. The cold plunge absolutely humbled me 😂 but I’m determined to get better at it. Jesse was lovely and took the time to show me around when I arrived, which made the whole experience feel really personal. I also loved that there’s a little recovery lounge downstairs where you can sit, have a tea and properly chill afterwards. Really easy to book, great location right by Dee Why Beach, and just genuinely a really nice place to switch off for a bit. I’ll definitely be back.
Visiting Sydney from the US and somehow my phone immediately figured out I was looking for a sauna because I was bombarded with ads for different bathhouses 😂 I looked at a few places before choosing Surge. RCVRI felt a little too much like a doctor’s office for what I wanted and looked a bit run down, while Xtra Clubs seemed more geared toward a younger, busier crowd. I decided to travel a little further north to Dee Why and I’m SO glad I did because Surge was exactly what I was looking for. High-end, classy, incredibly clean and beautifully maintained. The non-slip flooring was something I noticed immediately, and the staff were professional, kind and really welcoming. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first bathhouse experience. It’s also the little details here. The complimentary mineral salts to use on your body before the sauna were such a nice touch, there’s tea, and they even have a hair straightener and blow dryer for getting ready afterwards. And they carry Lucky Sauna hats!! These are becoming such a thing back home in the US, so seeing them here was a major perk. Lily and Jesse were great. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the whole experience rather than just putting a sauna and cold plunge in a room and calling it a wellness space. Definitely worth travelling a little further for.
