We were fortunate to get a table for two on a Friday night at Saveur. Every dish was on point, including the Amuse bouche. The walnut and date dessert was outstanding..and so was the chocolate and almond cake. The waiters were lovely, I think I've found my new favourite local :-)
Amazing food, we loved every dish including the sides (the potato dauphinoise was so good). Even though it was pretty busy, each course was served at just the right time. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was very attentive. We will definitely visit again.
We live in the country and had been for dinner at Saveur several months ago and decided that we would book again because the experience was so outstanding. We arrived tired after a long drive and it was like walking into a beautiful oasis of peace and culinary delight! Michael looked after us with great care and attention. We ate outside in a secluded area, even though the restaurant was just across from Roseville station. The menu is simple but varied with high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented and with delicious sauces. We had the lobster ravioli and seafood assiette for entrées and pork belly and barramundi for mains. The portion size was just right, and each dish had delicate flavours that made you feel as though you had stepped into a high-class bistro in Paris. The restaurant is unprepossessing in what looks like a suburban cottage, but it hides a culinary delight. This restaurant is well-priced for the quality of food and the food and service, and overall atmosphere - outstanding. Highly recommended for a special occasion or even for an ordinary occasion. Celebrated my mum’s birthday today. It’s all 5 star . Top notch service . Elevated classics. Great recent find. Hidden treasure that’s been cooking up a storm for 18 years. Hope it goes for 18 more!
The food at Saveur is excellent the duck a l’orange so succulent. I particularly like the escargot there very tasty morsels in garlic sauce. Tonight I had the Angus steak, whilst very tender marriages well with Madeira sauce. You certainly won’t be disappointed in fact 5 star in service, quality and fresh beautifully cooked European food. I’ve been to Saveur over 10 times now and the quality never disappoints. Well done to Micheal and team. Michele B
