Description
Begin with a comfortable early morning pickup from downtown Sydney. Travel deep into the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park to Scenic World for a three-part cable car experience. Ride the steep track-type cable car along rock walls and dense forests. Step onto the glass-floored aerial cable car spanning Jamison Valley for views of the rainforest canopy and valley floor below. Finally, glide in the forest cable car over ancient rainforests, experiencing the area's rich biodiversity up close.
Next, visit Echo Point Lookout to view the iconic Three Sisters rock formation. Hear Aboriginal legends about the Three Sisters and capture panoramic photographs. Optionally, hike 900 meters to touch the rocks of the Three Sisters and enjoy views of Wild Boar Rock.
In the afternoon, explore the town of Leura. Walk along tree-lined streets featuring historic buildings, manicured gardens, and unique art shops, including the Teapot Museum. Local ice cream vendors add to the town’s relaxed atmosphere. This is a good opportunity to purchase local souvenirs.
Return options include a ferry ride (at your own expense) from Olympic Wharf, passing Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House before disembarking at Circular Quay. Alternatively, return directly to downtown Sydney by coach drop-off, concluding the day trip.
