The Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Area spanning over one million hectares, lie just 1.5 hours west of Sydney. Most visitors see the same popular lookouts via large shared tours and encounter the crowds at each stop. This tour offers a different approach.
Your local guide, with extensive experience leading private groups, will take you beyond the typical sightseeing spots. You will visit quieter lookouts and walk tracks away from crowds, often enjoying views without other groups present. The pace and route are fully designed around your group’s preferences and abilities.
Key stops include Wentworth Falls, the Three Sisters at Echo Point, the village of Leura, and cliff-top views at Govetts Leap and Blackheath. Additional less-visited locations are selected to match your interests and fitness, allowing for longer walks or more lookout visits as preferred.
Prior to the tour, your guide will contact you to confirm pick-up details and tailor the day based on your group’s size, fitness, interests, and any mobility considerations.
Optional extras can be added either beforehand or on the day, including:
- Scenic World rides (starting at $52 AUD)
- Wildlife encounter at Featherdale Wildlife Park ($42 AUD per adult)
- Wine tasting at Dry Ridge Estate in Megalong Valley ($15 AUD per person)

Important Information
- Your guide will contact you before the tour to confirm pickup location and discuss your group’s interests and fitness.
- Pickup is at 8:00 am from your Sydney City or CBD hotel.
- The Blue Mountains sit over 1,000 metres above sea level; bring a warm layer regardless of Sydney’s forecast.
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for bush tracks and uneven ground; thongs, sandals, and heels are not suitable.
- Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a camera or fully charged phone.
- Bottled water is provided; bring additional snacks if desired.
- Lunch is not included, but a recommended dining spot will be arranged. Inform your guide of any dietary requirements before the tour.
- The tour involves some walking; your guide adjusts walk length and difficulty based on your group’s ability.
- Please notify the guide in advance of any mobility or health considerations.
