Unleash your inner Michelangelo on a guided hike through Sydney. See the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and the historic district of The Rocks. Finish your hike with a painting session and take your masterpiece home. Start your hike at Circular Quay and follow the harbor around past all the shops and restaurants in the direction of the Sydney Opera House. From the Opera Bar, walk right beside those famous Opera House stairs and head into the Botanic Garden via the Queens Elizabeth II Gate. As you enter the gardens, don’t forget to look behind you and catch a unique view of the Opera House dominating the Sydney Harbour Bridge behind. Mrs Macquarie’s Chair is a little further along the path and up a couple of short flights of stairs. This viewpoint was Mrs Macquarie’s (the Governor’s wife) favorite vantage point in Sydney and the chair was carved out of the sandstone for her by convicts in 1810. The view from here is still one of the most famous in Sydney and is used regularly on all the tourism brochures. Finish the hike with a beautiful painting session at Observatory Hill.
