Best cafe/bar in bondi, smash burger is 10/10, all the cutest doggos come here, vibes are immaculate, honestly don’t know why you’d bother going anywhere else in bondi when you have 44. Staff are alright too ❤️
Emotional experience here. Walking in the tunes was just perfect, a lovely swedish ting was behind the playlist I believe. Manager James (5 foot nothing, full of beans) was so caring and funny. Knowing 6 different languages amazed me. Never seen a pint poured without even touching a glass, this man shook my hand and before I said “can I”, a crisp pint was infront of me like he knew already. The big boss Ron was also a stand out character, despite his collection of international glizzys he told me about, the man is a wonderful host and true gift in the art of cocktails. 5/5 No notes. 44 seems to be the place is Bondi ! Nowhere compares! You’re met with the loveliest group of people as soon as you get there who instantly make you laugh and feel welcome. The drinks are unreal and always flowing, you have to try the mimosas… best orange juice in bondi! It’s one of those places you go in for two and end up there all night with no complaints. Massive community vibe and always the best entertainment, they post everything on their socials so you never miss anything. Even better there open in the mornings for coffee to cure your hangover 🥰
Honestly, I just come for the dogs. Pat is a legend. Coffee on point. Vibes are always high. I actually love this spot mid week for laptop sessions at the bar 👌🏼
If you’re a coffee conoisseur this is a must try new coffee bar in bondi (at night it’s a pumping gin bar). Meet the cafe owner - comedian Pat Doherty who is a terrific conversationalist. Highly recommend.
