This hostel has a super location with a great team! I wish I could stay longer out there… I also want to say that it was pretty clean which is not usual in hostel!
Such an amazing hostel! I used to live here for about two months, and I still come back to stay sometimes because I really miss the atmosphere and life here. The owner and guests are all so friendly, and every stay has been wonderful. Highly recommend!
the most amazing hostel of all Australia. It’s likely you don’t feel the vibe if you stay only 2 or 3 days but try stay a bit more and you’ll feel at home. We met a wonderful family during our stay and we are so grateful for all the amazing moments we spent ☺️
Honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had !!!! It was my first time solo traveling, and my first time in a hostel, and I could not have asked for a better experience than with Manly Bunkhouse. When I was booking, I spoke directly with Angus and he was so helpful and accommodating, helping me figure out the best rates and availability’s. When I arrived, I was immediately welcomed and felt like I was at home, and that feeling never went away. Everyone in the hostel agrees that while you are staying there, you are a part of a family. The bunkhouse is homey and there are so many amenities that are available (surfboards, volleyballs, basketballs, weights, hammocks, etc etc). We spent nights bbq’ing and laughing, creating memories for a lifetime. I left Manly to go on a trip on the Eastern coast of Australia, and before I left I had to make sure that I booked a room for when I returned because I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. While I was gone, I genuinely missed the bunkhouse and could not wait to return. When I came back, I let out a sigh of relief because I felt as though I had returned home. Not only is the bunkhouse amazing, but the people that stay there are incredible. I feel like I have made friends for life. I stayed for another week and I was so emotional on the ferry, metro, and at the airport because I did not want to leave. I cannot recommend this bunkhouse enough. Yes, it is close to the beach, and yes it is closed the Corso, but that’s not what makes this bunkhouse so special. The love and warmth that Jason, Mara, and Angus give makes the stay even more incredible than the location. 1000000/10 !!!!!
I had such an amazing stay at Manly Bunkhouse. Honestly, it felt more like a family than just a hostel. From day one, the vibe was welcoming, friendly and full of good energy. A special thank you to Angus, Mara, Jason and Rosie (I hope I spelled your names right!). You guys truly made the experience exceptional. Your kindness, your smiles, the chats, the atmosphere you create… it makes such a difference when you’re traveling. If you’re reading reviews and hesitating take this from someone who actually stayed there and truly lived the experience. My stay was nothing but positive, and I would recommend this place 100% with my eyes closed. This wasn’t just accommodation it was memories, laughs, good times and real connections. And I will definitely be back that’s for sure. Thank you for everything 🤍
