Great service from our lovely waitress. Loved the cute side booth seating in this venue as well. Food was delicious. Portions were on the slightly smaller side given the high price points. Other than this, it was a great dining experience.
Lovely cosy bistro serving Australian modern food with a twist. Presentation and taste was fantastic. Service is impeccable and I love the deco. Feels a little like a speakeasy bar in the prohibition period. Love the vibe and the cosy atmosphere. Wonderful to spend a long lunch here…. And did I mention their cocktails are awesome ! Slightly pricey but worth it
I came here last night (Sat night) with some friends for a girls night out and it was perfect! We had an amazing waiter. Me being gluten free, dairy free, pescatarian, he went to the kitchen and came out with a menu marked with everything I could eat. After taking our order, he asked if there was enough for me to eat. Food was amazing!! Atmosphere was intimate and not very loud. We stayed passed our reservation time, just slightly, but at no time did they rush us out. Come here during happy hour where drinks and some food are highly discounted!! I recommend anything on the menu, everything we chose we lived!! Also plenty of on street parking. Jane undoubtedly has become one of the classics of Sydney dining scene, which showcases Mod Oz cuisine exceptionally well. I opted for the set menu and every course was thoughtfully executed, but the standout dishes for me were the duck breast and the kangaroo tartare. Both were beautifully balanced, full of flavour, and showcased native Australian ingredients in a way that felt refined yet approachable. The drinks program is equally impressive, with a carefully curated selection of cocktails, wines, and spirits sourced exclusively from Australian producers. It added a unique touch to the overall experience and complemented the food perfectly. I visited for a Thursday lunch with clients and loved the atmosphere. It was pleasantly quiet and intimate, making it easy to have conversations without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by noise. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, striking the perfect balance between being present and giving us space to enjoy our meal. This is the kind of restaurant that leaves a lasting impression. I’ll definitely be back again and again.
What a fantastic experience. 10/10 There is no Michelin guide in Australia right now but if there were, Jane would deserve a star or two. It was better than several Michelin starred restaurants I’ve been to had the tasting menu and every single dish was on point. The service was also phenomenal. Professional but not pretentious. The kangaroo tartare, the figs, the duck, I loved everything. The Sydney rock oysters were among the best I’ve ever had Just a near perfect experience. Good job Jane team 👏
