Had brunch here this weekend. Was a little wait time given Sunday mornings are busy for cafes. There are many cafes on the Korean side of Eastwood and I think this is probably a better one amongst the pack. Coffees are ok but was a little cold. The pasta was about $24 a plate, the size wasn’t generous but ok , presentation is good and taste is good if you like the Asian twist to pasta (compared to the more traditional pastas . Spent $100aud for 4 people, not cheap but not expensive. The wraps were $16 aud - they were quite nice . Would I come here again - yes.
Fantastic Korean fusion food. Well-priced dishes and friendly staff. We ordered the boom carbonara and bulgogi wrap - both were mouth-wateringly delicious.
Outstanding suburban cafe on the eastern side of Eastwood. It's always a pleasure to enjoy the classic smashed avo with a unique twist, and Boom Cafe's version did not disappoint. The lotus chips and edamame beans were a pleasant addition, but the outstanding feature (apart from the smashed avo on sourdough toast) was the sauteed brocollini which was delicately seasoned with crispy tips. Prices are reasonable and staff are pleasant. This cafe is recommended.
Overall food and service was good. Keep in mind the cafe is quite small and crowded. Our favourite was the loaded fries, crispy and the sweet sauce paired well with the truffle sauce. Only thing was the pasta was a bit too creamy and we struggled to toward the end. A good brunch option in Eastwood.
I always love the kimchi pasta here 🤤, this time I decided to try something different and it is also amazing. I asked for truffle mushroom risotto, but unfortunately it's only for winter. So I ordered bulgogi beef ragu pasta. The noodle is a bit hard, but the sauce, wow, very flavourful, tomato sauce, kimchi and beef, all melt and blended well in the sauce. So enjoyable to eat noodle with the sauce. The matcha iced drink 🍵 is average. But the staff was very friendly, patient and helpful. Overall, good experience here and would recommend to some who wants to try an innovative mix of Korean ingredients and modern cafe food.
