Honestly, the room fit out and service in this small hidden gem of a hotel is outstanding!! We LOVED it. Rooms small but funky. Checked out the food at the foyer restaurant. It was SERIOUSLY next level. This is our new Sydney go to!! Thanks Clara and team for looking after us so well.
One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in Sydney. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Such a stunning art deco space with so much character while still feeling modern, elevated and cosy at the same time. What really stood out to me though was how thoughtful everything was. My room already had a steamer and a memory foam pillow waiting for me which, as someone who travels a lot for work, is honestly a game changer for my sleep. They also organised a hair straightener for my room which meant I didn’t need to pack any of those things with me. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the staff were so warm and welcoming and the location was perfect. I walked into the city multiple times and being so close to Town Hall station made getting around Sydney on the train incredibly easy. Also loved the breakfast and lunch menu downstairs. Such a beautiful spot to reset in between meetings and events. Already looking forward to my next stay!!
First time staying in Sydney and chose Hotel Morris. The location is great, super convenient to bus and train to easily get around the city. The staff members are exceptional— friendly and above and beyond helpful. The staff really give the hotel a warm, boutique, personal feel during your stay. The room’s decor is very well done. As transparently described on the website, the rooms are quite small and lacks a “proper” closet and without a dresser. As a solo traveler, I am able to “make it work,” but even so, it is tight, especially with my 2 pieces of luggage needing a place as well. Nonetheless, just something to be aware of and consider your needs. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and have enjoyed my stay here!
Check in is behind the bar of a very cozy retro speakeasy. Fantastic location for us while in town for a concert. Used our Accor free night so we splurged on the king room (room 1302) - loved being able to crack a window but the air conditioning set up is perfect too. Really comfortable bed with creature comforts like slippers, robes, nespresso coffee pods, and a reasonably priced mini bar. For a small boutique hotel it was an oasis in the big smoke and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney and wanting to brunch in Surry Hills and wander around Redfern and Chippendale.
