We booked the rooftop bar for a birthday and it was fabulous. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and polite. We were super grateful they let us have cake and even provided plates and cutlery - much appreciated! The food was delicious and incredibly well priced. The rooftop is a great , cozy vibe even in winter with huge couches and heaters. Thankyou for proving such a lovely evening.
A Late-Night Beacon for the Weary Off the plane, into the CBD I go — the hour already late, most doors already shut, and my road-worn body aching for a spirit to set it right. This pub alone was my salvation. Great location, easy to order, kind on the wallet, and the beer — genuinely good. If I'm ever back in Sydney and staying nearby, I'll be walking through that door again.
I had a wonderful stay at The Strand Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and kindly helped carry our luggage upstairs since there’s no elevator. The hotel has a stylish, modern design throughout. Our room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also loved having access to the Zip Tap outside the room, which was very convenient throughout our stay. The library space was beautiful, and I enjoyed the complimentary tea, coffee, and breakfast. Although the hotel is located above a pub, it was surprisingly quiet. I’d happily stay here again!
Can’t get a better lunch deal. Delicious $15 burgers and $10 pints of Guinness all day every day. I’m going to try all of the burgers on the menu. Additionally it has great service, the venue is clean and offers a good range of sport on the tv.
The $15 daily lunch burgers are great value but not for the fain-hearted.. I worked my way thru the whole menu over the week I was in town, and rate the fried chicken the best. Tasty & fresh, and satisfying, and busted me completely, and Im a big eater. Hope same deal still on this year when I return in oct/Nov. If so, I`ll be there everyday again, for my burger n Resch`s.
