I had a team dinner on a weekday evening at MuMu. Our organiser had ordered a banquet dinner, and it was more than a banquet. Individual dietary requirements were all well catered for. What’s more, as a vegetarian who doesn’t like tofu or mushroom, they really went above and beyond. I was served individual dishes rather than shared ones, which meant I was full halfway through the multi-course banquet, and had to carry unfinished food home - everything was too good to be wasted! My drink - based on lychee - was particularly nice and well balanced. The presentation of all items was good. The staff made sure they mentioned the key ingredients. For example, when a dessert was served, they made a specific mention that it wasn’t suitable for vegetarians as the jelly had pork gelatine in it. The stand out dishes for me were the eggplant dish and the Brussel sprouts dish, the later certainly the best Brussel sprouts I have had anywhere!! The place - although large - was full of people, showing its popularity. All in all, a fantastic dining experience.
We love the atmosphere and interior, funky and fancy enough to twist with Asian fusion. Amazing service from the team, very welcoming and friendly as well as attention on small details. We ordered few bites which are absolutely great and delicious. Our main dishes were okay, didn’t meet our expectations with the flavours.
Trendy Asian Fusion restaurant conveniently located on George Street near Wynyard Station. All dishes were very tasty - especially the eggplant. Serving sizes were quite small considering the hefty price tags. Service was also a bit hit and miss.
Had a banquet lunch, getting to try a number of dishes. Overall, I enjoyed the food, service and presentation, though nothing outstanding to note. Beautiful fit out and ideal for accomodating a large group. Something for everyone on the menu, and not a particularly daring menu. I feel that the menu has been westernised, with the spices being abit more muted than I had hoped.
What a nice surprise - Mumu was alot of fun. Great location (right in front of a tram stop on George’s St), fun ambience & good food. South east asian in flavour but with little twists & tweaks in the flavour profile that brought out nice surprises. Our group of 5 had a good time. Its a happy rowdy place with many groups celebrating - so not a place for a quiet romantic meal. All food items we had were delicious (although serve sizes were a little on the small side). Definitely come with a group size of 4 or more so you get to try more dishes (share them family style). Overall a little expensive when you add drinks onto the tab but then this is a place to go out for a celebration & it does deliver!
