Great atmosphere and a nice place for an arvo drink with some house brewed beers and more. New manger LOIS and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make it a great experience and a place we will be coming again and again!!! Definitely recommend
Had an awesome afternoon at Modus Brewing. The beers were outstanding, with a fantastic range on tap and something to suit every taste. The food was just as impressive—fresh, full of flavour, and generously portioned. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to catch up with friends over great beer and a meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to recommend beers to match what we were after. (One was really cute) If you’re looking for a great brewery on the Northern Beaches, I highly recommend Modus. I’ll definitely be back 😊
Modus has been an institution. Independent and been around since the early days of.craft brewing. I was introduced to modus with the red Tennant roughly 10 years ago and I've been in love ever since. Now living in Mona Vale I feel as if moved just to be closer to a brewery close to my heart. The staff are friendly. The beers are fresh and often new. But more importantly it's about community. Highly recommend modus!
Modus Brewery, originally from Newcastle, brings the same laid-back but serious craft vibe up to the Northern Beaches. I had the Noisy Boy — a hazy style beer that’s citrusy and aromatic, finishing with a clean, delightful bitterness. Easy to drink, hard to stop.
Modus Brewery has a good atmosphere and the beer was definitely the highlight — a solid range and well brewed. The food was okay overall, but felt a bit overpriced for the portion sizes. Not bad for a casual visit if you’re mainly there for the beer, but the food didn’t quite match the price.
