What a show! Excellent for a private dining room experience or in the main area and THE STEAK IS SUPERB. Steak restaurants are big in Sydney these days so the bar is high, but the Bistecca alla Fiorentina is absolutely perfect here - great but thin sear, allowing the delicate and evenly cooked meat to shine beneath the balanced seasoning. The wine menu is awesome and really different - plenty of unusual choices from Italy - and the staff are outstanding. The edible candles are a genuine treat and the tiramisu is off the top rope to finish. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Go.
What a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening. I especially loved the charm of the vintage scale sitting on the counter. Watching the kitchen team work over the open flame added such a great energy to the night. Everything felt authentic and well-crafted. I will definitely be back soon.
Your night begins through the back entry which takes you down to the bar. Cocktails were perfection. You then enter another room to be seated where they will kindly ask to place your phone in a lock box. I loved this as it means less screen time & more time taking in all the vibes & enjoying the company of those you are with more. First you will be given an eatable candle for starters is a cute touch! Bread tastes like heaven with the beef fat & I think there’s some rosemary in there somewhere?For sides we went with potatoes which were delicious and crispy as well as the pizza dough which was very yummy! Up next the main event.. THE STEAK!! The best steak I’ve ever had! Cooked to perfection, flavoursome, masterpiece! 5 STARS!! Can’t wait to be back next month :))
I would argue a perfect restaurant for a solo diner! I came in on a Friday night and was seated at the kitchen bar, right in the middle of all the action. Chloe was my waitress and she took very good care of me. She let me know that some side dishes were able to be ordered as half serves. Shiela the Somm was also a star!! She helped me pick the perfect wine for my meal. Staff in general were super attentive. The Sherry butter carrots were phenomenal and the steak was cooked to perfection. My only fault would be the bar side chairs are a tiny bit uncomfortable when eating, however this did not at all takeaway from the fantastic experience I had. Thank you for a great night 💐
If you are looking for an exceptional meal paired with actual, uninterrupted conversation, Bistecca is absolute perfection. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the perfect mood—warm, inviting, and sophisticated. But the absolute stroke of genius here is their policy of taking your phone away at the start of the meal. I’ll admit I was skeptical, but it was hands-down the best part of the experience. Without the constant urge to check screens, the conversation flowed naturally, and we were truly present. And thank goodness we were, because the food deserved our undivided attention. The meal was nothing short of fantastic—authentic, perfectly executed Italian cuisine that leaves you planning your next visit before the plates are even cleared. Complementing the incredible food was the great service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and struck the perfect balance of being professional yet incredibly welcoming. Bistecca doesn't just serve an amazing lunch; they host an experience that reminds you what dining out is supposed to feel like. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
