Love Chat Thai! Such an affordable and yummy dinner option in the city. Vegetarian menu is great too. Personally always enjoy the pad see ew and the fried rice. Great spot for a large group too.

Chat Thai was a solid dining experience overall. I didn’t initially realise this branch was located inside the mall since I was visiting Sydney, but once inside, the restaurant wasn’t too difficult to find. The food quality was consistent with the other Chat Thai branches I’ve visited, which is a good sign. The flavours were reliable, portions were decent, and the dishes came out reasonably quickly. I ordered a few meals along with drinks, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere. Even though it’s located within a shopping centre environment, it still felt comfortable enough to properly catch up and have conversations with mates without feeling rushed. If you’re visiting Sydney and want dependable Thai food in a convenient location, this branch is worth considering. Nothing overly fancy, but it delivers what you would expect from Chat Thai — consistent food, decent service, and a relaxed enough setting for casual dining.

The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were just right, though it’s a little on the pricey side. The dishes lean towards a sweet and spicy flavour profile, so if that’s your thing, you’ll probably enjoy everything here. If you prefer savoury food, it might feel a bit rich after a while. It gets very busy, so expect to wait for a table during peak hours. If you’ve got a big appetite, expect to spend over $50 per person.

I was recommended to try Chat Thai and visited for dinner. Overall, it was a decent experience. The food was good and the ingredients tasted fresh, but honestly I’ve had better Thai food in many other places. That said, we still enjoyed a few of the dishes we ordered. The papaya salad, green curry, and pork were all nicely done and satisfying. The restaurant is located upstairs in a fairly fancy mall and isn’t in the most obvious spot. If you’re looking for it, just keep heading up and you’ll eventually find it. Overall, it’s still a solid place if you’re craving Thai food while in the area, even if it didn’t particularly stand out for me.

Chat Thai never disappoints! Service was lovely too. Was able to taste a couple of Aussie wines before making my selection. The fried pork belly was so delicious, especially that nahm jim jaew sauce. Papaya salad was so fresh and the pad si-ew was unbelievably good. 10% surcharge on Sundays (still well worth it).
