The atmosphere here is absolutely incredible! I loved everything from the movie ticket-style cocktail menu to the huge selection of whiskies. Maybe because I'm Korean, I was looked after by a Japanese bartender, and he was honestly amazing! He was so much fun, gave us great recommendations, and made us feel completely comfortable and welcome. We had such a great time thanks to him. Hands down my favourite bar from my entire trip to Australia!! Would absolutely come back. 🥃✨
Maybe Sammy is an awesome experience for great cocktails and fun uplifting vibes, which really show how life should be lived! Our Mixologist, Henry only added to the experience, he’s a customer service gem - thank you! Will be sure to come back soon, we loved it and enjoyed some excellent drinks. This is a well-known cocktail bar in Sydney, and after hearing so much about its famous Lychee Martini (which has earned international recognition), I finally had the chance to visit with four friends. One of our friends had been here before and insisted we had to try it. We came during Happy Hour and decided to fully commit to the experience. In fact, we ordered every single beer and cocktail available on the Happy Hour menu, making sure to try at least one of each. By the end, our table was completely covered with drinks! The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely fun to chat with. The Lychee Martini presentation was fantastic and definitely lived up to the hype — so much so that we immediately ordered three of them. At only $8 for a mini cocktail during Happy Hour, it was incredible value as well. A special thank you to Giacomo and the Japanese gentleman with the braided ponytail. Your warm hospitality, attention to detail, and great sense of humour made our evening even more memorable. Hey Giacomo — if you’re reading this review, you’ll probably know exactly which group of guests wrote it 😊 The cocktail menu is excellent overall, but for the ladies, I highly recommend the Lychee Martini. It tastes almost like fruit juice and is dangerously easy to enjoy. And for any guys planning a date night, trust me — ordering this one is never a bad choice. The presentation alone is worth it!
I had an amazing experience at Maybe Sammy. The service was truly exceptional from start to finish. When my friend and I were seated, the staff were incredibly attentive, even helping to pull out our chairs, which immediately made us feel welcomed. When it came to ordering drinks, the bartenders were highly professional and gave us thoughtful recommendations. Every cocktail they suggested was both unique and absolutely delicious. We also brought along some professional filming equipment, and at first we were a bit worried it might make the staff uncomfortable. But quite the opposite—the bartenders were incredibly warm, friendly, and even interacted naturally with the camera, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. As we were leaving, the staff at the entrance gave us a very warm farewell, which was such a lovely touch. The atmosphere is beautiful, the vibe is fantastic, and the music is great. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone visiting Sydney—it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss.
An incredible place. The concept is truly outstanding — the story behind each cocktail and the cinema-inspired theme make the experience unique and memorable. The cocktails were spectacular, creative, and expertly crafted. The staff were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they were offering. Overall, it’s a venue that delivers a complete experience from start to finish. The atmosphere, the drinks, and the service come together perfectly.
