The oxford house is nice, but not worth the price, the rooms are very small, the bathroom is tiny and the balcony can barely fit 1 person. We booked the room called "the one" for $286 and I wish we didnt, the photos make it look alot bigger than it is. And honestly its nothing too special for that price. The shower leaks all over the small bathroom floor and the aircon is like a jett engine. Although unlike other reviews we couldn't hear traffic even with facing the street room. - Note: no parking with a 1km walking distance which is a nightmare in the rain. I think there is certainly better options around.
The room is nice but the hallway noise is insane! Hardly got any sleep. Small rooms. There’s no shelf in the bathroom to put your things. Overall nice place.
I have just spent the most pleasurable weekend at the Oxford House hotel. My partner and I spent 3 nights in an Oxford Deluxe room and would definitely return. The team managing the place are all friendly, professional and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. They make you feel looked after. The room while not the largest had everything we needed, tea coffee facilities, small fridge, very good products in the bathroom, super comfy bed, big sliding doors and a small balcony which opened onto Oxford Street. Some customers complained about the noise but it's really not that bad. It starts at about 4:30am when Paddington starts waking. If there was one downside to this room it would be storage space but something has to be compromised in smaller rooms. What we both really enjoyed was the pool area. You really don't know your in Oxford Street when you venture into this Oasis. We spent a fantastic couple of hours enjoy cocktails and food. They had a fantastic DJ which really lifted the whole place. A big shout out for their Margaritas and club sandwich. Again all the team were wonderful. A HUGE thank you Maria who looked after us on Saturday afternoon. She was attentive and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything. Oxford House she is worth her weight in gold so please look after her. Thank you Oxford House for a fantastic stay. Hopefully see you again.
