We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. We also enjoyed visiting The Porter Room. The coffee was really good, and the staff were welcoming and attentive, making it a nice way to start the day. Overall, it was a good experience, and we would be happy to stay here again.
Had a wonderful stay at The Porter House Hotel Sydney – MGallery Collection. The hotel is beautifully designed, with elegant rooms, a great location, and very attentive staff who made the stay enjoyable from check-in to check-out. A special mention goes to The Porter Room on the ground floor. The coffee was absolutely excellent—l—and the Gnocchi was delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. It was the perfect place to relax for breakfast or lunch without even leaving the hotel. Overall, a fantastic experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend both the hotel and The Porter Room to anyone visiting Sydney.
My stay at The Porter House Hotel was nothing short of spectacular and it truly exceeded all my expectations. The way they have seamlessly blended the stunning heritage architecture with contemporary luxury is breathtaking and creates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and incredibly welcoming. The room was a masterclass in design with high-end finishes and a bed so comfortable I didn't want to leave while the smart room features made everything effortless during my stay. I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service as every staff member went above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect experience with a level of hospitality that is hard to find elsewhere. The dining options on-site are top-tier and the central location made it so easy to explore the city while still providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone looking for a world-class experience in Sydney and I am already looking forward to my next visit.
It was my first visit to The Porter House and I was generally happy with my stay. I had asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, which they were able to accommodate. It was a lovely touch to see my name displayed on the TV when we entered the room, and a bottle of wine and a hand-written card. It's the little things that made the stay enjoyable. The check-in staff were also very lovely and helpful. I really appreciated them. Rooms: Spacious enough for 2 people. The bed was huge. I love the design and curation behind the decor of the room. The iPad controls were nice, such as automatic curtain openers and light controls. It would have been nice to have extra hooks in the room. I found it hard to find places to hang my towel, robe and bags. Coffee machine was a convenient addition to the room. Location: Great CBD location. A few steps away from Gadigal Station and few minutes from Town Hall and QVB. Super close to Hyde Park as well. Surprisingly quiet as well, especially for the CBD. Cleanliness: Given that I had paid almost $400 per night, I think there should have been extra attention to detail in the cleaning. Staff came in every day to refresh the room but had forgotten one day, but no big deal. There were a few crumbs in between the armchairs which wasn't nice to see. It would have been nice for house keeping to vacuum the room more thoroughly when refreshing the rooms as some times, there would be hair left behind. Would also be good to clean the shower grouts every once in a while as some parts were quite moldy. Other: One thing that was a bit annoying was the signal. We weren't able to get good signal on our phones while inside the room, and the TV kept freezing. There were also a lot of older shows on so the options on TV seemed a bit limited.
I had an incredible stay at The Porter House Hotel and can’t recommend it enough! The staff were all exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful throughout my visit. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Sydney. It’s less than a 5-minute walk to Town Hall, about 10 minutes to Darling Harbour, and a pleasant 25-minute stroll down to Circular Quay and the Botanic Gardens. The rooms themselves are very modern and spotless. I especially loved that housekeeping came around noon—it was the perfect timing to enjoy a slow morning and breakfast without feeling rushed. Speaking of breakfast, everything was delicious, but the coffee was a real standout! I’d definitely book this place again and will be recommending it to all my friends.
