Had a fantastic experience at Sydney Common. The food was excellent from start to finish, but what really stood out was the attention to detail in the starters. You could tell a lot of care and thought had gone into every bite. A special shoutout to Nathan and Demi for preparing the snacks and starters — the quality, presentation, and flavours were outstanding. It was a great way to begin the meal and set the tone for the rest of the dining experience. The service was warm and professional, the atmosphere was lovely, and overall it was a memorable night. Looking forward to coming back!

I went there to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing experience from start to finish, beginning with the warm welcome from Jayson. The food was delicious, and my favorite dish was the beef tartare. The staff was incredibly attentive throughout the evening. The real highlight, however, was the desserts by pastry chef Dawiya: the burnt custard tart, which was caramelized at the table, the tres leches (my favorite), and the chocolate citrus. I was also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful birthday amenity

- The Wagyu beef tartare was a great choice for a starter. The beef was fresh, tender, and nicely seasoned. It came with a rich, savoury sauce that had subtle Asian flavours, reminding me a little of gochujang. The crispy seaweed added a really nice texture and complemented the dish well. - The Cavolo pasta was creamy and had a distinct ricotta cheese flavour. It was slightly under-seasoned on its own, but when paired with the mains it worked quite well and didn’t feel too heavy. - The dry-aged duck was the standout dish for me. The meat was incredibly juicy, with crispy skin and a great texture that wasn’t dry or stringy at all. It was served with a concentrated plum sauce that paired beautifully with the duck. Definitely worth ordering, especially if you’re dining with around three people, as it’s perfect for sharing.

Sydney Common was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Sydney. The food is an absolute masterpiece. Every single dish is perfectly crafted, with flavour combinations that are both creative and perfectly balanced. Every bite brings something exciting, and the flavours genuinely explode in your mouth. There wasn’t a single dish that didn’t impress us. A special mention has to go to the beef tartare, the kingfish crudo, the chicken, and the tres leches dessert, which were all exceptional, but honestly, absolutely everything we tried was a 10/10. A special shout-out to chefs Mei, Alan and Min. Watching the team work throughout the evening was a privilege in itself. The level of skill, efficiency and attention to detail on display is incredible. They move with such precision and subtlety that, despite being constantly visible, they somehow blend seamlessly into the restaurant. Everything feels effortless, yet you can tell there is immense talent and coordination behind every plate that leaves the kitchen. The front-of-house team were equally fantastic: warm, attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Sydney Common delivers much more than just amazing food; it creates an experience. Exceptional dishes, exceptional people and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. We can’t wait to return.

This was my first time visiting Sydney Common, and I would definitely come back again! Each dish was cooked perfectly, beef tartare was creamy, and had a great texture paired with crispy nori chips. Vibrant Kingfish with refreshing yuzu dressing was perfect match. King prawn was smoky and nicely charred. Pork skewer was sweet and tender. The dry aged duck was absolutely the star of the table, the meat is exceptionally velvety, the honey spice skin carries sweet and savory intensity that lingers long after the first bite. Wagyu blade cooked beautifully and melted in mouth. Orzo, cabbage and carrot were all very nice, definitly enjoyed each of them. Service was sweet and professional, such a great experience in Sydney Common, thanks guys!
