Reviews
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Devere Hotel. The rooms were quite small, and the bathroom was especially compact. I'm a short person and even I found the bathtub a tight fit, so it may be uncomfortable for taller guests. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond whenever we needed assistance, which really made a difference. There isn't any on-site parking, so you'll need to use a nearby parking facility. It normally costs $36, but the hotel was able to reduce it to $18 for us. Just keep in mind that the discounted rate applies each time you leave and re-enter the car park, so the cost can add up if you're driving around often. The beds were comfortable, and having late check-in with staff available 24/7 was a great convenience.
About a 10 min walk to Kings Cross Station (well lit) with a 24 hour front desk. Room was large, clean, and comfortable, and hotel was easy to find. There was no view from my room, it faced an alley and a brick wall. If you are looking for 5 star accommodation, this is not it. However, if you just need somewhere to sleep, shower and shave, this is all you need. Kettle and mini fridge included (no snacks in fridge.) Milk, tea, and coffee provided.
Very good location, though a tired-looking hotel and room. Staff let me check-in super early which I was grateful for after traveling directly from London, and allowed me to store my bag for a few hours after check-out. Hot shower, comfortable bed, and AC, with a view of the water (photo from room 411).
