Reviews
It was a perfect mix of beautiful antique beauty with modern convenience. The staff were lovely. The free breakfast was generous and delicious. The room was beautiful. Lovely view. Comfy bed. Excellent amenities.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! I arrived relatively early, and my room was already prepared, saving me from having to walk around until 2pm. The room was gorgeous and comfortable with charming decor and the most beautiful tiles in the bathroom. There is no air con, which can make the room a little humid, but the ceiling fan is pretty efficient. The service of the staff was stunning. This was my first time staying in a hotel myself as an adult, and I think it was amazing!! The only negative thing is there can be a couple rowdy people out around at night, which is no fault of the hotel, and I still slept fine. As a young adult who only stayed for 2 nights, this hotel was delightful! It's also in the most convenient area for shopping and meals. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Small Historic Hotel with a variety of rooms available, some with (very clean) shared baths. Service is amazing here. Close to all kinds of transport, shopping, cafes and downtown. Attached to the oldest pub in Sydney. Rooms may be smallish, but also very clean. Wifi is included, as is the amazing breakfast, served with a smile. Just across the street and down the steps to the Overseas Cruise Passenger Terminal, and a short walk around the ferries and across the Quay is the world-famous Sydney Opera House. What's not to like? I'll be back next time we're in Sydney.
Fantastic historical hotel with oodles of charm. Amazing and helpful staff. Absolutely perfect location. Adjoined Fortune of War Pub, great food and drinks circa 1828 in the best neighborhood of Sydney. You cannot go wrong making this the place to comfortably rest your head at night. My only hesitation would be those with mobility issues. The hotel has stairs to deal with, even though there are limited lifts.
Great hotel in excellent location. Get train from airport direct to circular quay and walk less than 5 mins to hotel. Our charming room lived up to its description. Breakfast was really good and all the as train were lovely and helpful. We ate in the pub several times. Clisd to ferries and boat trips and easy to jump on light rail. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.
