Firstly the staff were wonderful. They were so welcoming and friendly and helped us with everything that we needed. The superior king room was comfortable and breakfast was ample. It’s close enough to public transport, and The Glebe Hptel which is only a few minutes walk away and has great food if you have a car, note that parking isn’t in the hotel, but it’s an easy 4 min walk away in the UTS building. Vulcan even has happy hour if you feel like a drink.

This hotel has so much charm and character. Staff were absolutely lovely and so accommodating. We celebrated my partner’s birthday and they offered to provide a complimentary bottle of wine and a birthday card, and even offered to set up a cake or present in the room if we arranged for one to be delivered to the hotel. My partner was so surprised and delighted to see the cake I got delivered set up in the room along with a hand written card from the hotel. 11/10 outstanding service we are so happy with our stay and can’t recommend the Vulcan enough! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A true gem of a stay! This beautifully restored corner hotel, once a bustling local pub, has retained its charming heritage character while incorporating a stylish modern touch. The location is incredibly convenient, next to central station and UTS. The staff at the Vulcan were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always greeted us with genuine smiles. Thank you for making our stay such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended. 5 out of 5 stars!

Wow!! Talk about excellent service!! Every single staff member I interacted with, was truly amazing!! Lupita was the first person I met when I checked in to the Vulcan Hotel. She had a beautiful smile & a wonderful warm energy that instantly made me feel very welcomed!! She assisted me with all of my concerns & even guided me to my room!! How helpful!! Unfortunately this morning I had accidentally cut my finger open and didn’t have a band aid on hand. I went to the reception desk to ask if they could help me, and the young man at the counter instantly got up to find me a band aid! I appreciated the call to action he demonstrated when I needed help. I decided to check out what the Vulcan Hotel had to offer for breakfast. Talk about delicious food!! The lady in the bar greeted me with a wonderful smile & checked up on me to make sure I was enjoying myself. I appreciated the light conversation & kind heartedness she gave to me. She also helped me check out, and noticed I was leaving with quite a large bag. After finding out my flight wasn't till later tonight, she offered to store the bag for me so I could explore Sydney a bit more & collect it later! I heavily appreciated this offer of service! It made my day 10x better!! I am preparing to leave Sydney now, and have just collected my bag that was stored at the Vulcan. Shout out to Lupita for retrieving that bag for me, I appreciate it! Thank you so much to all of the Vulcan staff that have helped me the past two days. I appreciate all of your help so very much, & will definitely be staying again when I’m back in Sydney! I’ve already spoken so highly of the staff to my family back in Brisbane. I hope that one day I will have the pleasure of staying here again. Thank you!!

We had a good experience at this hotel. Although not in the center of the city, it was easy to get to everything we wanted. The hotel staff were exceptional! They were very knowledgeable, polite, and accommodating. The room was the only thin we weren't excited about. On the positive side, the room the room was very clean, low noise level, comfortable beds, and a great shower. However, the room we were in was extremely small. In fact, the bathroom was so small that even an average height person (I'm 5'3") had to sit sideways on the toilet because the shower stall was so close. The bedroom space was tight, but it didn't present such a problem as the bathroom. We did peek inside another room as we walked through the hallway and it was roomier. Our vacation was booked by an agent so I guess the room we got was one that fitted our budget. Bottom line, I would absolutely stay there again but would check out other room options.
