Everyone behind the bar is friendly which adds to the vibe of the place but live music here doesn't work sadly. Artists on roster are extremely hit and miss and usually cannot be heard over the ambient noise of people on the upper level.
We had our wedding at Bilgola surf club in Feb and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Owen and team are friendly and accomodating and the venue itself is perfect. It has sweeping ocean views yet still feels private. The courtyard is perfect for the ceremony and having a separate bar area and large balcony meant there were many areas for people to socialise if they didn’t feel like dancing. We would choose Bilgola surf club again in a heartbeat!
Owen and the team at Bilgola Surf Club helped us create the wedding of our dreams last week, and we can’t recommend this venue highly enough! Not only is it located in a stunning beachfront setting—allowing us to have a beach ceremony before the reception at the surf club—but they also provided everything we needed, including chairs, tables, alcohol, and bar and wait staff. All we had to do was decorate the space and enjoy the day. Lastly, we want to thank Owen for all his help leading up to our big day. He was always quick to respond and willing to help in any way he could, making what could have been a very stressful process feel incredibly easy.
