An anniversary dinner at Jonas that we won’t forget. The seafood platter was outstanding. But Georgina, the sommelier, stole the show, guiding us on a wine journey around the world across a by-the-glass list that’s anything but limiting. Every pour was exquisite. Attentive service and a tremendous winter escape. Highly recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quite simply the best dining experience of my life and I’m almost 50! My Husband and i have eaten our way through more restaurants than I can count, and yet this one has officially ruined us for everywhere else. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience felt extraordinary. The service was above and beyond in every way, warm, intuitive, and delivered with a level of care that made the afternoon feel genuinely special. The food was unfaultable. Every dish was crafted with such precision and creativity that we found ourselves savouring every bite. It’s rare to be surprised at this level, but the kitchen delivered something unforgettable. And then there was the location, Ridiculous. As if the picture‑perfect setting wasn’t enough, the whales decided to pop up and perform like they were on the payroll. I mean… come on. Food and Service Remarks: My compliments to the chef—the food was spectacular and presented fairly, though there is room for it to become exceptional. I believe the overall dining experience should match that level of expectation. Having dined at several five-Michelin-star restaurants, I feel the plating could be further refined. In particular, the pasta presentation appeared somewhat careless and could benefit from a more thoughtful arrangement. The steak plating could also be improved by pre-cutting the meat and presenting the T-bone as a centerpiece to enhance visual appeal. Ambience: While the space is clean and well kept, it feels somewhat like a blank canvas, as though something is missing. The overall atmosphere could be greatly enhanced with added design elements, such as a ceiling feature or artwork (i.e royal chateau ceiling art), complemented by chandeliers to create a more inviting and sophisticated setting.
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue and stay. From the moment we started planning, Izzy (Jonah’s Events Manager) was very responsive and on top of things, while still keeping things relaxed. The vendor recommendations made the whole process so easy, and we were very happy with the vendors we chose. All the staff were amazing throughout our stay, and across every detail (including saving us our wedding cake to enjoy the next day!). The food was also incredible - one of our favourite restaurants, with an extensive wine list and great sommelier. The location and views are stunning and made the whole weekend feel even more special. We also stayed for three nights and loved every moment, including the best couples massage we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate future anniversaries here.
An absolutely sublime restaurant experience, faultless from start to finish. The service here is wonderful - attentive, professional, warm and friendly. We sat out on the terrace for oysters and cocktails as we were early for dinner, and the view over the ocean during sunset is divine. Although we live locally, it felt for a moment like we were on holiday. Dinner was perfect. All the dishes were tasty and beautifully presented, and the wine list is exceptional. The fabulous sommelier was fun, friendly and enormously knowledgeable, and we were delighted with our selection of wines and the 1979 armagnac. Pure joy. This is a magical spot for any special occasion. We'll need to find some more occasions to celebrate here!
