Wonderful evening at Ripples with their Signature Chef Dinner-Truffle. Food was amazing … each of the 5 courses was very unique and inventive. The icing on the cake though was our waiter Ekin who was a sommelier master looking after our every need. We were celebrating our 26th anniversary and brought two bottles of a similar age to celebrate. Ekin decanted our wine and brought out appropriate stemware so that the wine showed its best. Service was impeccable and he even brought out the head chef to our table to thank him for the meal. Wonderful experience and if you are going to The Fenwick for a meal ask for Ekin for the 5 star service!

I’ve been to this restaurant many times before and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food. It’s usually a great place for a nice dinner out. On this occasion, I brought my partner here for a small celebratory dinner. The evening started really well, drinks and the entrée were both great and the service was friendly as usual. Unfortunately, my main (the steak) was quite disappointing. It was very chewy and nearly half of the steak was fat, which made it difficult to enjoy, especially given the price. I showed our waiter the plate and the amount of fat that had been left, and also mentioned it to another staff member and again when paying the bill. While the staff were polite, there wasn’t really any acknowledgement of the issue or offer to rectify it, which was a little disappointing. Because of this, we decided not to stay for dessert. I understand that sometimes a bad cut of meat can happen, but I was a bit surprised that no small gesture or solution was offered. That said, I’ve had many good experiences here in the past and would likely return again in the future, hopefully just with a better steak next time.

We visited Ripples after hearing rave reviews and were delighted by the stunning and peaceful views. The flavourful and perfectly portioned tasting menu offered a delightful variety of dishes. However, our proximity to a busy door and a large noisy table slightly spoiled the atmosphere. Despite requesting a quieter table (many were available) we couldn’t be moved and had to almost shout to communicate.

What a beautiful place for lunch on a sunny day! I took the ferry over from circular quay and dined by myself and it was so lovely that I brought my sister there just two days later. Staff are amazing, the food is incredible but it’s the views you stay for. Great experience thank you!
